DR. MUHAMMED MUSA GAJI
Dr. Muhammed Musa Gaji is a distinguished expert in renewable energy, specializing in solar energy and hydropower. With extensive experience in energy systems, energy audits, and project management, he has made significant contributions to sustainable, low-emission energy solutions. His research interests span solar energy, plant/power engineering, sustainable energy, hydropower development, combustion systems, and waste-to-wealth technology for energy recovery.
At the 2024 combined convocation ceremony of the prestigious Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, Dr. Gaji was honored with the Prof. Robinson I. Ejilah Prize for Sustainable Energy Solutions. This award recognized his exceptional doctoral research in sustainable energy. A doctoral graduate from the Department of Mechanical/Production Engineering (2021/22), Dr. Gaji impressed the selection committee with his groundbreaking thesis, “Development and Performance Evaluation of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW)-Based Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) for a Single Chamber Incineration System.” His research presents an innovative approach to converting municipal solid waste into RDF, offering a promising solution to the global challenges of waste management and renewable energy generation.
As a testament to his expertise, Dr. Gaji has authored several publications and books on energy and sustainability. He has also edited the book “Development of Solar Power Generation and Energy Harvesting,” further establishing his authority in solar power generation. In addition, he is an active member of various academic societies and professional organizations, reinforcing his commitment to advancing the field of energy.

Olugbenga Najeem Fasan is a seasoned and results-oriented Oil and Gas Executive with over 20 years of extensive experience spanning upstream operations, technical management, commercial strategy, and business development in the Oil, Gas, and Energy sectors. He has led the planning and execution of multi-million-dollar projects, including CNG infrastructure development and independent power projects, with proven expertise in asset evaluation, project management, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance. Olugbenga is highly proficient in negotiating and managing Gas Sales and Purchase Agreements (GSPA), Gas Transportation Agreements (GTA), and Joint Venture operations. He possesses strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of aligning technical and commercial functions to achieve organizational goals.
He holds a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Ibadan, a certificate in Oil and Gas Engineering and Management (Upstream) from the International Petroleum Centre in Abu Dhabi, and completed executive education in Business Administration at Lagos Business School. Olugbenga is a member of several professional bodies, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), and the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES). His professional approach is underpinned by sound analytical skills, operational discipline, and a commitment to delivering strategic solutions that drive growth and sustainable energy development.
